Relationships & Sex Education

Since, 2021, Relationships and Sex education has been a statutory part of the primary school curriculum. At Cumwhinton, we are clear that parents and carers are the prime educators for children on many of these matters.

At Cumwhinton, through the carefully planned ‘Jigsaw’ framework, our teaching of Relationshps and Sex put in place the key building blocks of healthy, respectful relationships, focusing on family and friendships, in all contexts, including online. This sits alongside the essential understanding of how to be healthy.

If you have any questions about the delivery of Relationships and Sex education, please don’t hesitate to contact us at school where we will be happy to help.
